Italian consultant master chef Ivo Perrotta has brought more than 20 years experience perfecting Italian cuisine to carefully craft il Lido’s authentic menu, which is offered all day. The kitchens are manned by eight specialist chefs and guests can enjoy exquisite cuisine ala carte or degustation style expertly paired with Italian wines matched by a sommelier.
Incorporating Darwin’s first and only Italian salumi bar, displaying hand-picked varieties of traditional salami, the salumi bar houses an impressive refrigerated case of ingredients imported directly from Italy. A climate-controlled glass wine cellar forms the centrepiece of the restaurant, displaying more than 1200 bottles of Australian, New Zealand and Italian wines.
Traditional wood fired pizzas made with only the finest ingredients are a highlight, along with appetizers delivered straight from the wood-fired pizza oven such as dense breads to be broken, shared, dunked and mopped in sauces in the traditional Italian way.
